Take a look: the anthropologist.

Anthropologie has impressed me yet again. On their website, at the top right hand corner, is a barley noticeable tab labeled 'the anthropologist'. Do you all know about this? When you click on the link, you are drawn into this wonderful world of inspiring artists. It's fantastic and moving and filled with videos and beautiful pictures. One artist that really caught my eye was Jim Denevan. He creates his masterpieces from the earth. Sand, ice, snow, dirt and gravel are his preferred medium. His 'fleeting art' and massive scale reminds me of Andy Goldsworthy. His art is just as much about the experience as the final result. The project shown on the site is his most recent piece. It was created on the surface of frozen Lake Baikai in Siberia. The spirals and circles range from 18" to several miles in diameter. The pictures that document the process are just gorgeous, take a look...
