Today I feel very old but also very loved. It is my momma and my late grandmother Nini's birthday as well, so this day has always been extra special for me. I am not sure if it is the getting older thing or what but I'm feeling especially sentimental today. My mom sent me a card that said-- "Do you know I have been loving you for 26 years? That is a very long time!". It made me tear up a little to think about that. x.

hello fall + goodbye summer.

According to our calendars, this day marks the last day of summer. I am not sure if it's because I have a fall birthday (tomorrow!) but fall has always been my favorite season. No matter how much I love summer, I am always ready for fall when it comes around-- more comfy cardigans, tea drinking and more time in the kitchen. I'm so excited to see the leaves turn and the temperature drop. Change is good.

Happy Monday...

I feel like I'm constantly apologizing for not being consistent with my posts. It has been especially hard to keep up with my long Friday post-- the week is over, I am planning for the weekend and sometimes the last thing I want to do is be on my computer for a couple hours. Which is why this week I am planning on working on it throughout the week so it isn't such a burden. But don't worry, I still love you.

This weekend was especially busy though because I was planning, decorating, running around town for a party we had in honor of my birthday on Saturday night. My actual birthday is not until this Wednesday but this weekend seemed a more proper time to celebrate than the middle of the week. I am turning 26, which pretty much scares the pants off of me. When did I get so old?

How was your weekend? Mine was pretty busy. That party pretty much consumed all of my weekend but was definitely worth it. Yes I admit it, yesterday was spent mainly on the couch watching tv.

Mad Men: Illustrated.

I'm really liking these Mad Men illustrations. Most of them are from specific screen shots from the actual show. I have to say, Peggy is my favorite character (who's yours?), but she looked the least like herself in the drawings. Despite that small detail, I'm still really enjoying looking at these and trying to guess what episode they're from. I especially love the paper doll cut out of Joan --look at the blood on the green dress from the John Deer episode!
