Recipe: Snow ice cream.

Did you ever make snow ice cream as a kid? Even though we only had a few big snowfalls a year in Nashville, I remember always looking forward to this tasty treat. It's the perfect time of year for it too. Just remember to look for clean freshly fallen snow. I'm not sure what my mom's exact recipe was but something similar to this...

  • 1 can of sweetened condensed milk
  • 8 cups fresh clean snow
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla, or 1 teaspoon of any other extract you have on hand like orange, lemon, or almond

Directions: Add all ingredients to a large bowl and mix until smooth.

** When you make your snow ice cream, it’s best to leave out a bowl to catch freshly fallen snow. But if there’s a ton of snow outside your home, and it’s currently not snowing, just go scoop up some fresh, clean snow.
