Well, I'm talking a little break from blogging for a few days so I can focus on celebrating Christmas with my family. Whatever holiday you may be celebrating this season, I hope it is happy and surrounded by friends and family! Have a lovely and stress-free weekend! MERRY CHRISTMAS!
(photo via my iphone, me and Lizzie, on our way to Jackson, TN)
We had a holiday party a few weeks ago and on a whim decided to set up a photo booth. It was a huge hit and really funny to look back on all the pictures the next day! Here are just a few gems from over 100 photos. I seriously want to do this for every party from now on.
I will be enjoying my last weekend in Colorado this weekend before I head home for Christmas in exactly a week. Last minute shopping and a white elephant brunch are on the agenda. Other than that, nothing special. Just enjoying my free time. Have a lovely one. x.
I know this is kind of cheating (because I am technically not wandering anywhere) but I've been really enjoying my down time lately. Sometimes I feel like my apartment is too comfortable. We decorated for the holidays last week, hung ornaments on our *tiny* tree and baked cookies. It's so warm and cozy feeling right now I have a hard time leaving. It's so nice to live in a space you love. There is something about snuggling up with a book and some tea, while watching the snow fall from the 3rd floor. You just can't beat it.
I suppose a more accurate name for this post would be...'Bits of my Saturday afternoon brunch'. Promptly after picking Aly up from the airport, we did what we do best, ate and drank ourselves silly. And we spent the rest of the weekend doing more of just that. Don't you love it when friends come to visit?
I am very excited for this weekend! My dear friend Aly is coming for a visit before she heads off on her journey to Singapore. Lucky girl. Saturday night we are having a slumber party at my place! The rest of the weekend I am sure will be filled with long chats, lots of wine and fun outings. Can't wait. Stay warm and enjoy yourselves!
Don't worry....just because I got an iphone does not mean I will stop shooting film! It's just fun and convenient (and new!) for me right now but I will still be carrying around at least 3 cameras at a time!
Here are some photos from a roll I took on Thanksgiving day. The Gregory's (my sister-n-law's family) live on a farm about 20 min away from Nashville and it is the perfect spot for a large family gathering. It was such a gorgeous day, sunny and unseasonably warm. I love the feel of this place. I love seeing my family all around me, doing different things, chatting in separate places and then coming together for a meal. warm heart.
Monday night was unexpectedly awesome. My friends BWC had a video shoot and needed some extras to pose as an audience. (Um, yes I will do that) Bonus: we got to watch a live show for free! At one point they wanted to shoot a party scene on the stairs and all of the sudden all the band members started crowd surfing (down the stairs!). It was a really cool moment to be a part of. Now I can't wait to see the video!
* P.S. Their winter tour with Akron/Family starts in January. Click here to see if they are coming to your city anytime soon! They are tons of fun, don't miss it.
