Have a dreamy weekend!

Hello my lovely readers. How was your week? My weekend started today which I am absolutely thrilled about. I have some things to catch up on today so it worked out pretty perfectly. Did you know your drivers license expires when you turn 26? Yeah, just one of the things on my "to do" list for today. Tonight I am making dinner with the darling Erin and then going to see Nathaniel Rateliff at the Gothic. I am prepared with Kleenex in the purse and all. The rest of the weekend is wide open. I am trying to think up a creative idea for Halloween this year so perhaps I'll do some thrift shopping to get some inspiration. See you soon!

Reminds me of being a kid-- Little drifters.

October+ let's do *bleep*!

I am officially declaring the month of October "getting shit done" month. Precisely because, for the past couple of months, I have done exactly the opposite. Which leads me to the question-- what have I been doing? I am trying not to make excuses here but lately, more than ever, I don't feel like there are enough hours in the day to accomplish near the amount of things I set out to achieve at the start of the day. All of this is going to change this month. I'm going to finish old projects, start new ones, go on more runs/walks (okay, who am I kidding, they're walks), wake up earlier, write more letters, work on my personal portfolio and yeah, get shit done. Phew. I feel better already.

Take a look: Robert Ryan

I've come across Rob Ryan several times while doing my daily blog scanning routine and am always so amazed by his work. It's so intricate and interesting. It's got a childlike sort of whimsy to it that I love. He specializes in paper cut out and screen printing and also has an etsy store with a variety of goodies from ceramic tiles to lomo cameras. If you are lucky enough to live in London you can visit him and his work at his own personal store called Ryantown. A fun little side note... he's also done quite a few book covers and I finally put my finger on why his work is so familiar to me-- he illustrated the cover for The Book of Lost Things.

Have a fun weekend!

I am really looking forward to this weekend. I am going to sit around and do nothing. Seriously, doesn't that sound great? A little reading, cooking and sleeping in, yes, perfect. I have worn myself out the past couple weeks. Why are there so many September birthdays? I mean I'm not complaining about my own of course but this is overwhelming. Oh, did I tell you I got a bike for my birthday? It's a vintage Fleetwood and it's so amazing! I will show you pictures very soon because I am planning on riding it around all weekend. Be safe chickens and I will see you next week! x.
