I owe you a post, I know, I know and it will come. However, I have no time right now so here are some images of lavender by photographer Carrie Bond to keep you occupied. x.

A blue eyed horse.
Have you ever seen one? Doesn't he look like he belongs in a fairytale? I was out messing around with my Holga the other day and I couldn't believe my luck. Of the five horses in the field at the time, he was the only one who came right up to me. Horses are such majestical creatures to begin with, it was just so beautiful.

Working Class Foodies.
Have you ever felt like something was made just for you? Well, this is exactly how I feel about Working Class Foodies, a web based show about two siblings trying to find and cook with the best local ingredients their city has to offer; all for around $6 per person. Do you love to cook? yes. Are you kind of broke? yes. Do you love the idea of local and seasonal ingredients? yes. I'm telling you...watch it.
The show only takes up about 5 min. of your time and basically documents the whole process of buying, prepping and cooking the food. At the end, the final price of the meal is revealed and has been as little as 4.50 a person in episodes I've seen. I'm totally hooked. Also, their recent Earth Day episode was on urban planting...ahem, which I was just talking about!

Hello Weekend...
Hello dolls! Hope you have a fun weekend planned. April is sure showing it's rainy face here in Colorado so I plan on spending a lot of my weekend relaxing and doing rainy day activities...reading, watching movies and perhaps some cooking too. Hope you all stay dry! x.
Really liking...this Sorted Books project.
Whoa!
Awesome paper graffiti.
These crazy bedspreads kind of remind me of Tony's from Skins...
Some people just fascinate me. (p.s. I'm stealing that lipstick style...it's mine!)
Love this hockney-esque Polaroid collage.
That's one cool kid.
Shoe lust.
So creepy...The Horror of Subway.
Sigh, I want to live here. (they're gardening, pickling and making jam...all the things I want in life right now!)
Confetti System...the duo behind Beach House's awesome set decoration. (via Bird and Banner)
I heart fabric.
Also, the U.S. is kinda gross.

Trying out my green thumb...
I don't have a yard...or even a flower box, but now that it is Spring I am getting the urge to see fresh flowers around my apartment. I'm not just talking about flowers in a vase, I mean real, live plants...ya know, the ones you grow yourself. I have to say so far my reputation with flowers in the home is less than perfect, but I am determined to make it happen this year. I have collected a few helpful tips from around the web and now the hard part is deciding what I want to plant. Any suggestions? I love the idea of turning everyday items into flower planters. What a cute way to show off your vintage kick knacks...

Bits of my weekend.
This weekend I felt like a true city gal. I went to the Ballyhoo on Saturday, as I said, and also enjoyed a day at the Denver Nature and Science Museum on Sunday. Have you heard of the hidden elves in that museum? You should definitely check it out. It was so much fun to find them, like a little scavenger hunt! Here are a few photos I wanted to share...

Happy Weekend!
Hello friends! How are you doing this marvelous Saturday? It is a little bit of a gloomy day here in Denver but I am enjoying the change. I surprisingly spent most of it outdoors. Umbrellas are a wonderful fashion accessory, ya know. I just returned from the crafty Ballyhoo downtown and don't you worry, it is going on til 7 so if you want to head over there's still time. Handmade goodies, cake walks and and an afternoon beer...this is a good day indeed! Hope you all enjoyed it as much as I did! x.
Also, this stuff is pretty neat...
Not just for kids...too bad it's a pretty penny.
A far away dream...floor to ceiling bookshelves.
I heart pretty packaging.
Sway those hips sugar while you look at something nice.
Paper people and the best pinata I've ever seen.
Pictures for sad children. I laughed.
....pretty much every other synonym for super hero. (p.s. these make me so happy.)
Omg...i want one!
(photo via please sir...this project makes my heart swell)

Let's dance...
I have come to believe that dancing can make your day worlds better. Whether it is alone in your kitchen or out with your buddies, I am now trying to incorporate it into my everyday life. Need a break from work? Do a little dance. I'm serious. You might feel kinda ridiculous at first but trust me, it does the trick. (and burns a few calories too!) So let's do a little dance for Tuesday. Shake, shake, shake...

Take a look: Yusuke Nagano
Yusuke Nagano makes me want to be a kid again. His scenes are those of the everyday child...bike rides, tire swings, skipping rocks, blowing bubbles, playing make-believe, etc. Born in Japan but now living in Sweden, he also animated this video for his daughter's band Little Dragon.
"My inspiration comes from drawing anything and everything that comes my way. I truly enjoy it so much that it's a pleasure for me to draw anything, Industrial motors, people, nature or fantasy pictures, I enjoy it all. I find it important to work and exchange ideas with young people who have the same passion, the same view of life, New perspectives keep me going."
* the sixth picture reminds me of this movie scene.

Hello dears. Hope you had a wonderful week! Any fun weekend activities? I have some plans flying around but nothing too official yet. I'm finally getting over this ridiculous cold which makes me really happy. Well, enjoy the sunshine! See you in a few days. x.

Holga test roll...
Here are some of my favorite shots from my 1st roll of film shot on my new Holga. A lot of them came out which made me really happy. I have heard from people that bright sunny days are the best for this camera so I brought it out during our Easter party last Sunday. Here's a look...

Flickr feature...
I stumbled upon flickr photographer zicocarioca a couple of days ago and cannot stop looking at his beautiful photographs. They have such amazing color and composition. I love the look of the light spots, they remind me of faded memories...
